Michael Allan Fabbro

LLB(Hons), BCom (Acct), GDLP, FTIA, IPAA

Chairman and Non-Executive Director (experience as a legal practitioner). Michael joined the Board of GRSA in November 2009 as a Non-Executive Director, he is a practising solicitor and principal of his own fi rm, Ezra Legal. Also holding a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting, Michael is a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia and a member of the Leaders Institute of South Australia and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia. A member of the Board of the Aged Rights Advocacy Service, Michael has business interests in the hospitality industry. Special responsibilities include member of the Remuneration committee.

Board Members

Ben Miels

Non-Executive Director (experience in finance and accountancy). Joined in April 2011 as a Non-Executive Director. Ben is Managing Partner of Chartered Accounting firm, Edwards Marshall where he advises medium to large businesses and professional clients in the provision of taxation, accounting and business. He also acts as a director/ board adviser to a number of significant clients of the firm and other organisations. Ben has experience in a wide range of industries including indigenous communities, manufacturing, mining, agriculture, law and the wholesale and retail trades. Ben is also a past Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia SA/NT Division.


Paul Preiss

B.Bus (Marketing), MAICD, FAIM, CPMgr, FAMI, CPM

Non-Executive Director (experience in marketing). Paul joined the board in November 2011 as a Non-Executive Director. With a strong background in business and marketing strategy and human resources, Paul will bring a new perspective and fresh ideas to the GRSA board. Paul began his marketing career in manufacturing and international trade and went on to take up senior marketing roles with National Pharmacies, the Royal Automobile Association of S.A and the University of Adelaide. He is currently a director and partner in Adelaide-based strategic management and marketing consultancy Makrid Preiss & Associates. His role includes working directly with, and advising the Chief Executive Officers and owners of some of South Australia’s leading organisations. Paul is currently on the Media Advisory Board of the University of Adelaide and previously served as a Director of Australian Motoring Services Pty Ltd.


Dr Chris Doyle


Industry Director. Chris joined the board in November 2011 as the South Australian greyhound racing industry’s representative. Chris brings with him a wealth of experience including nearly 40 years working closely with the greyhound racing industry’s trainers and owners. He is currently greyhound veterinarian at Angle Park and also serves as President and Chairman of the Australian Greyhound Veterinary Association. Chris also runs a private veterinary practice at Angle Park.
